I found the YCI interview preparation, particularly the session with Mike and Bob to be very helpful indeed. I was really impressed at the investment you made in this process, and at the care and thought you put into getting the right fit between the client and the candidates. I found the feedback Mike and Bob gave to be immensely helpful. In the end, success in placing a person is often down to a sense of whether the client and the candidate would work well together, a sense of complementary skills with sufficient common ground for there to be trust. I think the investment YCI made in getting this right is very impressive: I wish it were more commonly adopted in the interim business.
I also found the care you took following the interview impressive, particularly asking me whether I had any reservations. As it happened, I didn't: I felt entirely confident ... but in part this was due to the care you had taken. But it was good to be asked, and I did feel that - had I had any reservations - you would have worked to resolve them with me and the client.
The contract process was well managed, prompt, comprehensive, proportionate and sensible. I also like the YCI business model: I think negotiating a fee for the introduction is so much more professional than other models which continue to charge an oncost to a candidate's day rate.
I found the experience of working with YCI to be very high quality. The investment in matching client and candidate honestly and openly, and in actually giving genuine feedback and support to be very professional and positive.
